About the ratings

How does ASP test chemical resistance?

Samples 30 mm × 30 mm are cast at each product's prescribed thickness, cured for 7 days and fully submerged in the test chemical at 20–25°C. Full immersion is the most extreme case; a spill on a real floor only touches the surface.

What do the chemical resistance ratings mean?

5 means excellent (no significant deterioration after long-term contact), 3 means unaffected after one month, 1 means unaffected after 24 hours, and 0 means not resistant.

How many chemicals has ASP tested?

ASP's epoxy and polyurethane chemical resistance guides cover 260 chemicals, many at several concentrations and temperatures.
